Northern Australia health service delivery situational analysis - Request for research collaboration

The Cooperative Research Centre for Developing Northern Australia (CRCNA) is seeking a suitably qualified organisation, individual or group of organisations to collaborate with the CRCNA in the development of a northern Australian health service delivery situational analysis.

The scope of the work will identify key challenges and opportunities facing the northern Australian health service delivery sector, explore potential developmental scenarios and/or identify the most strategic research projects for further investment. This will include but not be limited to infrastructure, policy, new models of care, investment, knowledge, training and human capital gaps and the research or alternative solutions to address them.

CEO Jed Matz said this project will identify key challenges and opportunities facing the northern Australian health service delivery sector and explore potential developmental scenarios and/or identify the most strategic research projects and development priorities for further investment.

“This research collaboration will involve extensive consultation across all stakeholders of the industry including primary and allied health care networks, hospitals, industry groups, universities, government departments, research funding bodies or organisations and the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander controlled health services sector.”

The process and final report is intended to inform the CRCNA and other key parties on strategic research investments, assist with the coordination of investment across the northern Australian health service delivery sector and improve strategic alignment across the research, policy and service delivery arms of the sector.
